Spicing Things Up A Bit

Well, I never got to finish my post the other day because the day kept getting busier and busier, so I decided to just post and finish writing later. Over the Valentine's Day weekend, Darin, Caily, and I headed up to Big Sandy for a marriage retreat. Mama T (Darin's Mom) came down to watch Caily, so that Darin and I could have some time alone together. It was much appreciated and it was great to see her again. I was a lot of fun to have her back at the ranch and for her and Caily to get to know each other again. Thanks Mama T for coming down and helping out (she helped out tons and we even made baby food together).

Another special treat was that we got to meet up with my Grandma in San Antonio. She was up from the coast on a day bus tour, so we had lunch and ice cream together on the Riverwalk. This was the first time for her and Caily to meet, and as you can tell they got along well.

Spring is coming and with that, all the animals are having their babies. This week has been quite eventful with the birth of two baby horses and we were bottle feeding three lambs. Unfortunately two of the lambs didn't make it, but this one little girl is doing great. Last night, our neighbor helped out and took the night shift, which was a blessing. So, just when things to seem like they might be slowing down because the puppies are heading to homes, another little one needs our help. She is the cutest thing and is doing great. She loves eating and is getting stronger every day. She is a twin and the other twin was stronger than she was, so the mother just left her. When we found her she couldn't even stand up and her back was really crooked, now, she is up and running around. Diane(my neighbor) and I went for a walk with our little ones yesterday and I took the lamb along. She laid in the bottom part of my stroller for the most part. Soon, I think she will be up to the challenge of walking most of the way.

Anyway, I should get going, but I wanted to post some more pictures and finish writing.
