I can't believe that it is already December, it feels like it was the beginning of December just the other day. I guess it helps that we have had a lot going on these past couple of weeks. One of which is that my Mom came out for week, to bring Christmas from BC to us and for her Christmas present. It was fun to have her out and I think it was a much needed time away from everything for her. She was a big help around the help, with cooking, cleaning and the like. We also celebrated Christmas together, complete with a big chicken meal and Jesus' birthday cake, it was all delicious. Another fun thing that we did together that I had not done before is go to what is called Dickens on Main, in Boerne. The town is all lit up, there is a park filled with vendors, and they even have snow (soap sprayed out, that looks like snow, but it fun to watch the kids enjoy the "snow").
This is just a fun picture of Jake, we were out watching Darin and Rachelle with the horses and he decided that not only did he have to be touching me, he needed to lie between my feet.
Our first Christmas tree! I was so excited to receive this gift from some of our friends from church because we weren't going to get one this year because we will be gone over Christmas, but we were given on and it is beautiful, 10 feet tall, good thing we have such a tall ceiling. It is not the best picture, but that is alright. I hope to add more lights with each year, but I was just excited to have a tree, so I am more than happy to have my three strings of lights.
Our little family, doesn't Jake look thrilled with being in the picture.
It was a lot of fun to have my Mom down, to catch up with her some and for her to see everything at a different time in the year.
