to speechless for speech

There have been few times in my life where silence overshadowed my love for talking. Those moments where you are so amazed and in awe that the speaking part of your brain is dominated by the "that is unbelievable" part of your brain and silence best becomes us. One of those moments I can recount so vividly. It was on November the 20th 2004, my honey and I were having a romantic dinner in the horse barn, and I proceeded to get down on one knee, pull out a diamond ring, and ask her to be my bride forever. I will never forget the smile; I will never forget the "yes", I will never forget the next few moments of silence as we reveled in God's love through us. I used to despise those "I just know" answers when I would ask my married buddies how they knew their wife was the one, but here I was in the same position, I can not even come close to constructing some syntax or the putting together of any series of words to describe how I knew, I just did. Here I am a couple of years later with another one of those "to amazed to speak instances" to forever store in the portals of my mind. It involves my wife and myself in a dark room with a sonogram machine, a nurse, and an image of a tiny peanut sized figure that will soon be our firstborn child. I cannot begin to describe to you the feeling, nor would I even venture to try, that we felt when we saw for the first time that tiny little heart beating. I remember praying that night with tears in my eyes that as our little one began to grow and that heart began to pump life into his/her ever-growing body that that little heart would be man or woman after God's own heart. That his/her heart would beat passionately for the Lord one day. So, yes my wife and I are pregnant and we are eagerly awaiting this growing gift that should pop out sometime around 7/7/07. I can not wait to one day hold our new born child in my arms and maybe understand a little more fully what it was like for our Heavenly Father to give of His only begotten Son, a price that I can promise you ahead of time I will not be willing to pay.
Thanks for your prayers as Jody tries to understand what is going on inside her body and I try to understand why what is going on inside her body needs to affect everything else about my beautiful bride, ha!

Yahooo!
Its about time. However, I must insist that a picture follow quite soon. That is what we are interested in. Jods, it is imperative that you post pictures because that is how we can keep up with your growth. I did it; so you could keep up with me now it is your turn to do the same

OH my word Jodi, this is so exciting. I have to admit I always check your blog and today went straight back to my blog to check the next one because all I saw was text, but I recognized that the title was different than your last post therefore I went back and read it and I am so thankful I did because of course I had NO idea and am so thrilled for you.
God bless you as you discover new things about your body.
