This last week has been rather busy, with Darin and myself driving a whole bunch. On Tuesday of this past week, we drove up to north of Dallas, Aubrey, to drop off some mares to be bred and then drove back the same day. We were delayed by some severe thunderstorms, which turned out to be quite severe. We were in a tack store and had to go in a closet because the town was under a tornado warning and there actually was a tornado that touched down near by. Fortunately, we did not experience the tornado and were allowed back into the store, once it calmed down. That was a long day, but fun nonetheless, Darin and I enjoy driving and it is fun to be able to spend the time together.
Wednesday was basically spent trying to catch up on sleep and the like and then Thursday, I drove Darin to the airport at 4:30am. He flew to St. Louis and drove back with Josh to help him make the trip, while Katie and the girls flew. They made really good time and got to the ranch at 3am. With Darin gone, Rachelle and I decided to take Thursday afternoon off and headed into town, we always have fun together and seem to laugh a lot. I know we have been up to more this week, but I think those are the main things.
Sky is doing well, still stealing random things, but it is more often than not, harmless and rather hilarious. This is a picture of her after she stole on of my cookbooks, why she did, I don't know, I just tend to find things not where I put them. A rather funny story that involves Sky and her love for stealing things, is she stole my cell phone and ran off with it. I was with Rachelle, so I got her to call my phone and Sky's expression was priceless as she tried to figure out what in the world was going on.
I am now 30 weeks or seven months pregnant, and definitely feeling our little one move, actually as I am typing my belly is jumping all around. I had my doctor's appointment today and a sonogram to get a measurement on her. She has turned, which is good and is 3lbs. 12oz and already showing a stubborn side. The technician was trying to measure her and she wouldn't stay still and she actually would kick out at her and then when she was trying to get her to move for a profile shot, she wouldn't and actually put both hands over her face. Silly kid! It was fun to see her again and to see her getting chubbier. After that, I saw doctor and she said baby is doing great, although she has already dropped. She checked my cervix because they have been keeping an eye on it and discovered that it is dimpled and 1 cm dilated. So I have had restrictions placed on my life and my one job is to grow baby. No exercise, no cleaning, no cooking, no lifting anything over 5lbs, basically I am suppose to kick back and do a whole lot of nothing besides baby growing. My doctor said that she really like to not see the baby before 34 weeks and hopefully wait at least until 36 weeks. So, I will go back to her in a week to check on things and hopefully not drive myself or Darin too crazy.

You are looking awesome Jods! Pregnancy becomes you even if it has had it's challenges! We are praying that your little girl will hang in there(much like Heather did by being born the day before her due date even tho I started early contractions at 6 months!)
Put your feet up and enjoy the time to be still and reflect...and know that God is still God!
Jody, I'm going to try to leave a comment on here. I thought you had to be a bona fide "blogger" to do that. Anyway, you are looking so "glowing"...and so good. The time to spend doing "nothing" will be great for you. You better take advantage of it, 'cause the day is coming when you will be quite busy!
We are praying for you and Darin and our new little grandgirl!!
We love you! Mama T
Hey Jods,
thanks for posting weekly. It is great getting to see pics of you and hear how things are going. I know that it will be difficult at times to sit and do nothing but enjoy it now because your days of sitting still will be over soon. Please keep us updated on your situation. We will be praying for the little one that she stays put for awhile.

Hi Jody. Do take care because having a premie is not great. Catch up on your reading and suntanning because you'll be very busy before long. Oh, and catch up on all the catnaps you can. Take care of yourself and your daughter.
Love you!
