Back to 1983

Taylor and her best friend, Rachelle.

Andrea, Katie, Aubrey, and Abby

Kristin and Ms Diane. Kristin is due in August with a baby girl as well, so that will be fun for them to be so close in age.

Sheilar, Genevieve and myself. Genevieve couldn't get over my shirt because it is from my camp days and normally does not have a big tummy filling it. It was a little tight, but I figured it would work.

Here are the ladies, minus Harrison, that threw the shower for me, which we are very grateful for the time and effort they put into everything. Thanks! You'll have to forgive me for the tightness of the shirt, it definately adds to the ball under the shirt effect.

Well, I had my first baby shower on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. It was put on by Katie, Kristin, Diane and Diane and it was an eighties theme. I didn't have many options for clothing, so I went for the bright colors and side pony. It was fun to bring home the gifts and start putting things in the baby's room. One of the things we got was a pack and play, so now she will have somewhere to sleep if she comes early. We got a few really cute dresses and every time I get baby clothing, I can't believe that soon we will have a little one to wear them. At the moment for getting things ready for the little one to come, I am working on picking colors for the nursery, which I am making harder than it should be because I am not the best at matching or at making decisions.

Baby and me at 33 weeks.

As for an update on baby, everything is going well. I had an appointment today and nothing has changed, which is exactly what we want to hear at this point. I even got a quick ultrasound to check on the fluid levels because she is so low it is hard for my doctor to check. So, we got a peek at her and she is doing well and levels are on the lower side of normal, just like everything else in my body, but still at a good level. She is growing and gaining weight, all good things and best done inside for now.

Looking good Jods! It looks like you had a good shower. Those parties always help put having a baby into perspective. Glad to hear that all is good with the little one right now. You mentioned in your blog about low fluid levels, "like everything else in your body" I just want you to know that everything that has been happening during this pregnancy is out of your control. There is nothing you could have done differently to make it better or worse. Our bodies just do what they are going to do. Don't for a moment blame yourself! Don't know if you are but I know that it would be very easy for me to do so. So, don't!:) God knows exactly what He is doing and HE just wants you to sit back and let HIM do it! You are doing great!!!
Love you
