Happy First Birthday!

Caily Joelle is now one years old, I cannot believe it have been one year since we experienced the miracle of birth and this little sweetheart entered our lives. I will do another post with more pictures from her party because I don't have them all at the moment and it is way too late for the post that I imagined for her first birthday (I just figured out tonight that caffeine and I do not mix). So here are a couple from the week to give you a small glimpse.

Here is Caily exhibiting her intense like of sitting in things and on things. This is one of the dogs dishes and she often sits in it.  Speaking of dogs, she loves them.  We had been gone for a couple of days and as we were getting out the car, she heard them and kept saying puppy, puppy.  She is also says hi, bub-bye, uh-oh, Da Da, Ma Ma.  She waves, claps, blows kisses, dances to music, gives hugs and kisses, of course these all occur on her terms, but that makes them all the sweeter.  One of her funny things she does is clicks her tongue to music because Darin has been beat boxing with her since the womb.

This was taken this morning, her birthday morning, displaying two of her gifts.  Thanks Sheila for the great shirts, they fit great with room to spare.
Testing the water with Daddy.
A new thing in the life of Caily is that she is officially walking all around!  Time for some exciting times in the Miles' household.
Thanks Katie for taking this picture without my knowledge.  The little one was sleepy and fighting sleep, so I was cuddling her on the boat and enjoying the moment with her.  I cannot believe that she is ours and I was enjoying the littleness of her.  I know that time will run away from me if I don't treasure these moments.
Thank You Lord, for this little one that You have given us, may we hold her with open hands, treasuring each moment that You bless us with.

And I also want to say, Jody, that I think you are doing a beautiful job of being a wife and mommy. Oh that more contemporary women could find the simple joys of being a wife and mom and could truly realize that their worth in Christ. I love this verse: Psalm 113:9 "He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD." I'm so proud of you as Darin's wife (as I am of all my "daughters-in-love") that you are "fulfilled" in your wonderful chosen spot of wife and mommy. You all have done a great job of parenting this first year. I know that the Lord has promised to guide you each step of the way. So, we're over here in SC praying for you each day and cheering you on!! Love you again!
