We went to the lake this weekend with some friend from church as a late celebration of Darin's birthday. It was a lot of fun to get away and spend time with friends and family. Lexi was not a huge fan of the life jacket she had to wear.
Caily loved playing in the sand and did so for hours on end.
These pictures of Lexi were taken on Monday. She has been doing pretty good although the last two afternoons and evenings have been rather rough and I am not sure why. She has been finding her thumb more and more these days, often when I go in after her naps, she is laying on her side sucking on her thumb.
Lexi seems to have a way of looking right into you and looking like she is wise beyond her years or deep in thought.
I cannot believe that she is already 16 weeks old.
Caily is talking better and better with each day, which has its good and not so good sides. Good because she is getting less frustrated with us because we are able to figure out more of what she is saying and it is fun to see her communicate more and more, she is a funny kid. Not so good because there is a bossiness that comes out. She is still loving animals, horsies, puppies, and kitty's top the list. We can be walking outside and she will see a barn cat and will say "Kitty" with a "T" at the front and run to it or try to get it to come to her. She loves to have them following her and tries to get them to come all the time, it is rather cute to see her trying to convince a barn cat to obey her.

Great pictures.....and it DOES seem like Lexi is wise beyond her years...wonder what she's thinking. That's so funny...the "Kitty" with a "T" at the front of it. They're growing up so fast. Thanks so much for posting! Love you all.
Such adorable pictures!! Thanks for posting Jods....I love the side profile of Lexi and agree, it does seem like she is wise beyond her years! And Caily's pigtails are soooo long already. Too cute.
She is so cute, Jody! It goes by so quickly!
