19 Weeks

I cannot believe that Lexi is in her last week of teens, it is amazing how quickly she has grown, although sometimes a day can feel like a whole week. She is still doing great, loving to sleep and being quite the sweet baby in general. As you can tell by the pictures she has found her toes and loves them quite dearly. She loves to hold on to them and suck on them when everything works out as she has planned. Another thing that she loves dearly is her thumb, I have started to swaddle her with her one arm out, so that she can still suck her thumb. She would rather not be rocked to sleep, instead she likes to roll onto her side and popped her little thumb in and out she goes. On Sunday, she was really tired during church and wouldn't go to sleep in my arms, so I laid her down on a changing pad and she went on her side and fell asleep. This was in the pastor's office, the sermon is piped in for nursing mothers, so that is where I often am.

Caily is doing well and quickly catching on to going potty, she has been telling me when she needs to go and has gone #2 on the potty for the last three days! Which is very exciting and hopefully she continues to do well. She has been having sleep issues recently and we are thinking about cutting out her nap and bumping up her bed time to 7 instead of 8, we will see how that goes. It was turning into a struggle at naptime and bedtime and it felt like we were trying to get her to sleep all afternoon and all evening. She is constantly making Darin and I laugh at the things she says and does. She is picking up on saying things that are funny and that will makes us laugh. She loves to be without clothes and without shoes and would be all the time if we let her, but alas, some places require such things.

Caily is extremely sweet to Lexi and is always wanting to hold her and often runs to her as soon as she cries and asks her if she is okay. Lexi loves to smile at Caily, although at times gets startled by her loudness. Caily gets quite concerned when Lexi is crying herself to sleep at times and thinks I should go get her, but I try to convince her that she is all right and just needs to go to sleep.

We went to a WN*BA game on Saturday night, which was fun because we know one of the players. The girls surprised me because I thought that Lexi would be scared and Caily would do just fine, but it was the other way around. Lexi was taken by all the lights and could really care less about the extremely loud noises, while Caily had her face buried in Darin's shoulder for most of the first two quarters. Eventually she warmed up to the idea, although stilled jumped at the buzzer and hid her face from the mascot.
Enjoy the pictures...

I like these two pictures of Lexi and Darin, they look like they are plotting something.
A certain two year old wanted her picture taken, I realized tonight as I was downloading pictures that I really need to take some more of Caily.
Lovin' on her toes.

Watching her big sister and smiling at her, yet I cannot seem to catch one on camera.
Her eyes are getting so blue.

The closest thing to a smile I got.

I love the drool hanging from her lips.

Your baby girl is so gorgeous!!! Thanks for all the pictures and the newsy 'report' on all the happenings at your house. The picture of Caily made me laugh...she looked just like Darin when his hair gets really long!

What a wonderful post! So newsy...made me feel almost like we were right there. Those were great pictures....it's amazing how Caily and Lexi don't look alike at all. They are both precious and thank you so much for taking the time to post for all of us who live MILES away! Love you!

It's so fun when they find their toes. I caught a picture of Ashlyn sucking her TOE this week, just like she would her thumb. Quite funny. Eventually I'll get around to posting them. I'm so behind on blogging. If I could just do one a week, that'd be nice!
Fun update. Always great to see you guys! See you soon!
