I can't believe that Caily is in her last week of teens. This isn't going to have a lot of typing since the little one just ate and I can't put her down yet and I haven't mastered the one handed type yet. In these pictures she is showing you all what she is up to these days. Trying desperately to sit up, smiling big, holding onto her toes, feeling textures, and generally being a cute kid. She is still at a pause in her rolling over, but she is incredibly close both ways and I know that any day now she will remember her skills. Her stats as of last Monday at her four month appointment are weight 14 lbs.4.8 oz, which is the 66 % and height 24.5 inches in the 73%.
A spiritual journey of the lives of six young characters in the epic drama of the revealing of the Covenant keeping God.

She's Here!
This is going to be quick, but I wanted to let everyone know that Caily Joelle Miles has made her appearance! She arrived at 4:32pm on Friday, June 29, weighing 7lbs. 10oz. and 20.5 inches long. We got home last night and are trying to settle in and figure things out, so I will post more later, but I wanted to share the exciting news.

29 weeks
I was asked yesterday what I had been up to in the week and I really couldn't remember much, so this will probably be a rather short post. One thing that I did do this week, was plant flowers in the beds at the back of our house. I am really excited about them, although not really expecting them to last very long, if the sheep don't eat them, or the dogs don't dig them up or the heat doesn't get to them, I think that I will be very surprised. So far, the dogs haven't touched them, but I caught Jake trying to go in them this morning, hopefully they don't sneak in when I am not watching. Sky is doing well and catching on to things, so far we have been working on come, sit and down, which is funny to teach a "fully trained" dog these rather basic commands, oh well.
Another fun thing that Darin and I did this week was go out on a date, it had been awhile and things have been rather busy, so it was fun to be able to get out the two of us. We went to a movie and then to Cracker Barrel, he was going to take me to a nice steak place, but Cracker Barrel sounded better to the both of us. After the meal we played checkers outside and he beat me, but it was fun anyway.
So, I think that is the extent of what I can remember, oh, my doctor's appointment went well, although baby is sideways at the moment, which makes it difficult for the doctor to get a measurement. Next appointment I will get another sonogram, so they can get a good look at where she is at in her growth. The little one is doing well and loves to move. More and more now, she seems to be sticking body parts out of my stomach and it is rather strange to watch and feel. Her favorite is still sticking her bottom out, making my stomach rather lopsided and hard in one place.

26 weeks = 6 months
Darin was snapping pictures before I was ready, but I kinda like this one, even though I was not ready for it to be taken.
I am definately getting bigger these days and can't imagine what it will be like when the little one reaches birth weight and height. As of Thursday, my doctor said that she is 1 lb. 13 oz, crazy to think that she will probably gain at least another five pounds.
Yet again this is going to be short, but I finally took a picture, so I wanted to at least post it before another week went by. Life has been a little crazy the last little while, so I think that it is slowing down a bit and hopefully I won't be sick for awhile now. While Matt and Heather were down (great to have you guys visit), I got salmonella, although at the time I didn't know what it was. I went to the doctor once they left and was admitted to the hospital to start an IV and to try to figure out what was wrong. I was unable to eat or really drink, which is never a good thing especially with the little one. So, to make a long story short, I was in the hospital for four days and was so excited to be able to go home. Needless to say I won't be eating at a certain restaurant in the near future. Throughout it all baby was fine and I got to hear her heartbeat twice a day as they kept a close eye on her. I had my 24 week appointment this week (I know, a little late) and had another sonogram to check on the placenta, which has moved and is now looking great. It was fun to see our little girl again and the technician got another look and is quite certain that it is a little girl. So, that is the short update on what is going on.

Almost 23 months, oops, I meant weeks!
Sorry it is going be short again, we are in the middle of guests, but I knew that I am due for an update, so I thought that I would post a picture to hold you over. I am doing pretty good, fighting infections, but I think that the antibiotics and I are winning at this moment. The little one is growing and moving around quite a bit and at random times she will move tons. I will try to update once it calms down a bit.
PS Thanks Mom for the help, as you can tell, I was a little tired last night, it made me laugh this morning though.

Growing Tummy
I have been asked for closer pictures of my expanding midsection, so here they are. I can't say that the second picture is a very flattering picture, I was really tired when it was taken, but I thought I would post it anyway. Baby is doing well, I can feel her moving a whole lot more now, which is a lot of fun. My parents are visiting which is great and I will post more once they are gone. I just wanted to get these pictures up, since they had been asked for. Oh, I am just under 21 weeks, in these pictures.

Father Daughter Dance

On February 10th, Darin and I were in charge of the music for a Father Daughter dance held at our church. We had done it last year and were excited to do it again because it is one of the most adorable, touching things to watch all the dads and their girls, dressed up and dancing together. There is a range of ages, anywhere from 3 years old and up and some of the dad's are blessed with more than one girl. Darin and I enjoyed watching as the girls are charmed by their daddy's and I was telling Darin that maybe next year, he would have his own little girl to hold. Well as it turns out, this was Darin's first father daughter dance! On the 16th we had our second sonogram and we were told that we are having a little girl (or at least she was 99% sure that she is a girl). At first she was proving to be modest at a young age and was blocking our view first with her hand and then with her feet, but with some prodding she moved and we were able to get a good look. We will see her again on March 19th because my doctor wants to keep an eye on the postion of the placenta, so hopefully we will get another good look to confirm that she is a girl. She meausred about 11 oz. in weight and I read that she is now about 10 inches long from head to toe. I can't believe how big she is getting already, especially since the last time we saw her, she was less than an inch in length. It is crazy to think how much more she will grow in the next four and a bit months.
The picture of Darin and I was taken when I was 19 weeks, I will try to get a picture of me in the next couple of days as I am now 20 and a half weeks and starting to look more and more pregnant. These next pictures are of our little girl. In the second picture she has her hand up my her head and in the third she looks like she may be trying to suck her thumb, it was so fun to watch her move all around and to see the incredible detail that technology has allowed us.
