Too long again

So, once again it has been too long since I have posted, life has been busy, that is my excuse and a pretty good one at that (or at least that's what I think). My parents came down to visit last week, which is always enjoyable. It is fun watching them interact with Caily, especially now as she is getting older. It is hard being so far away from family with a little one because she changes so much from day to day, much less from month to month. We didn't do a lot while they were down, mostly let them have time with their granddaughter. We did go down to the coast for my Grandma's birthday, which was good to be able to spend that day with her. My mom and I went shopping one day, which is kinda funny because neither of us are big shoppers yet we were gone the whole day. We had fun and spent way too much time in Target. Thanks for coming down and loving on us all.

Caily seems to be doing something new each day. She is now crawling and can get anywhere she wants to go, it just takes quite a bit of effort on the hardwood. She does the "traditional" crawl as well as scooting along when she pulls both legs up at one time, which is much speedier on the slippery floor. She is also getting the hang of walking while holding onto our hands, although it is more of a run with very high steps, so cute. She has started to laugh when other people laugh, especially when it is her Daddy. The other day, Darin was on the phone laughing and she would laugh whenever he would. She is pulling up on things, which warranted the moving down of her crib this past week. Also a tooth is peeking through, which she has been working on for quite awhile, people told me she was teething at three and a half months, five months later, it has finally made an appearance. She loves to eat her food and has now added the requirement of her sippy cup at supper time. She has found the intense need to drink during her meal, not necessarily a bad thing, just funny because she thinks it is funny. That is all I can think of at the moment that is new in her world, I am sure there is more, I just can't think of it at the moment. Oh another thing she is doing these days is playing peek-a-boo by herself. She will hold up whatever is in her hands (blanket, toy, sippy cup, it doesn't really matter) in front of her face and then when asked, where's Caily, she pulls it down and smiles huge, very humorous.

The puppies are doing well and we are flying two out to Colorado tomorrow morning. It will be harder to say good-bye to these ones because they have been around longer and we have spent the most time with them. We will be down to just one puppy, which is good and easier to handle. Reese, the lamb, is doing well, as confused as ever. She has no idea what she is, some sort of sheep/dog/human cross. She tries to play with the dogs and puppies like a sheep, but they don't get it. Lambs play by backing up and then head butting each other, so she will back up, but the puppies just follow her, so she never gets the head butt in. She does with Sky and Jake because they mostly just look at her like she is going crazy or something.

Anyway, I need to get going, so I can feed the lamb before Caily gets up and maybe even put the laundry over. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do, sorry there are no subtitles, I think they are pretty self-explanatory.

This is such a great, newsy post, Jody! I was on the phone with David while I was checking to see if you had posted, so I just read it to him and described the darling pictures. I can't believe how big she is getting! Pretty soon, she'll be walking. The lamb is darling, too...as well as the puppies. We love you all three!
