Jody's first attempt at blogging. . .

Since you have been hearing mostly from Darin, I thought that I would give it a try. It actually went more like,
"Jody, why don't you blog something?"
Hesitation on my part, "What would I write?"
Darin's repsonse, "Anything, random thoughts."
So this is the beginning of my random thoughts blog. Life here on the ranch has been a little busy trying to get all settled in. Quite a few people have asked if we are all settled in yet, and sadly I have to say not yet. We still have some unpacking to do and we are trying to set everything up with the horses, but all in all I am starting to feel more and more like this is home. It helps when we have nights like tonight, where we were able to sit down to a candle lit dinner and unhurriedly eat our supper. We use to do that often at our old place, but we hadn't had the time to do that as of yet. Now as I am typing, Darin is practicing for Sunday and I love to be able to sit and listen to him play and sing. I am truly blessed with an incredible husband, who loves the Lord and me. He also has endless patience with me and the strange moments when I cry for no apparent reason or laugh and cry at the same time. As for the are we settled in question, moving with my husband, instead of away from him (like while we were dating and engaged), allows for it to be an easier transition.

This picture was taken the same day the ones with Jake and I were taken, but Darin didn't post the ones of him and Jake, so I thought I would. Darin got Jake to climb the tree, by placing one of his toys up on the tree and then I quickly snapped a couple of pictures.

Well, I have about run out of things to write, so good bye for now.

Wow Jods! That's the most I have ever seen you write!! It was awesome...to read your thoughts, to hear about what's been happening in your lives, and to feel like Dad and I had a peek into your life today!(I read it outloud to him because he can't read over my shoulder at the computer with his bifocals!) Thanks for sharing with us....and the picture of Darin and Jake in the tree is awesome! Thanks for posting that as well!Love you!
