New Things

This past week has been rather busy as Darin and Rachelle were running more of a summer schedule, which makes for some very late nights. That was when the weather was nice, but this past weekend it got so cold, some areas even got snow, which is crazy for this area of Texas at anytime, much less in April. It is suppose to warm up tomorrow, but these past couple of days have been chilly, which will make the nice weather that much more appreciated.

As the title suggests, there has been some new things in our life. Two Fridays ago, we were going to a movie and then we all ended up getting our haircut after the movie, Darin, Rachelle and myself. Rachelle and I had been talking about getting our haircut for a long time and Darin was getting tired of his being in his face all the time, so off we went. It was fun and I was pleasently surprised when the lady cutting my hair did a great job and I love it. Rachelle on the other hand was very nervous about her lady, so she only got a trim and Darin got quite a bit taken off. I think you can kind of tell what it looks like in the picture.

Another new thing, is the puppy in the picture. We have been talking about getting a girlfriend for Jake for a very long time, but never found the right dog. with baby coming soon, we didn't really think a 7 week old puppy would be our smartest idea, so we were looking for something a little older and it also had to be the blue merle color. There are four different colors of Australian Shepherds and with Jake's coloring, if we got a blue merle, we had the potential for their puppies to be any of the four colors. So, Darin started doing some research and found this little girl who will be one on May 25. We picked her up on Friday and she has been doing great. Supposedly she is fully trained, but the previous owner's definition of fully trained and ours are polar opposites. We are calling her Sky, she is very sweet and quite timid.

The last new thing, is the new size that I am reaching. The little one seemed to grow every day last week and has been making her presence known in different areas of my body. She is very possesive of her space and doesn't like it if she gets crowded at all, like if I am holding a baby or if Darin's arm is resting on my stomach, she will start to kick out at the very spot that pressure is being applied. I am hoping that this is not a sign of her personality and that she will love to be cuddled after being born. We are 27 weeks along, crazy to think that we are nearing the third trimester and getting ever closer to holding our little one for the first time.

WOW Jods....a puppy! She is a cutie. Like the hair. It looks like you took a lot off. It always feel good when you do something different after awhile. Good to see your belly. You are looking more prego everytime we see a new pic. Glad to hear you are doing well.

Wow! those are new things. Most people start to wind down when they are having a baby but you seem to be adding some. But that is a great way to get out and train her with Jake. I like your new haircut.
Take care

Hey! I haven't "blogged" in forever, so it was good to catch up and see the new you and the new pup- both very cute...but you're much prettier of coarse! Just a word of encouragement, Aubrey and Taylor were both that way in the tummy, but now they are huge cuddlers!

I love your new haircut Jods! It look awesome! Very mature indeed(I agree with Kim) I was hoping for a picture of Darin too...without the hair in his eyes!

You are finally looking truly pregnant, instead of like you only had a pillow under your shirt! Wow do I ever miss seeing you grow...too bad Texas is so far away!

You are looking great, I like your new style. I am jealous that you have 2 dogs now. I keep asking Tim if we can get one now that we are on the farm, and let`s just say I have a lot of convincing left to do....

Preganancy looks cuter today than when I was pregnant. Is it because we can't believe that our babies are having babies? It's great to catch up with you Jody, and I'm glad you're feeling better again.
